Geneva To Dublin For St Patricks Day (Geneva, Dublin)

16/3/05 Wednesday

Woke up and it was entirely too light for my liking. My phone had turned itself off and my alarm hadn't gone off. Luckily I didn't miss my flight. Got to Dublin and checked the pubs out.

Geneva – Excitement Minus (Montreux, Geneva)

15/3/05 Tuesday

Geneva was pretty boring. Old, but not with the coolness of Montreux. There have this big fountain where it shoots up 140m. My left foot had another blister, so I didn't bother walking closer.

Switzerland And Queenly Montreux (Interlaken, Bern, Lausanne, Montreux)

14/3/05 Monday

Breakfast was even more sparse at the Funny Farm. You get a slice of bread and 2 types of jam to choose from. You can also make some tea.... but I didn't see any sugar.

Checked out Bern. Bern has poor bears caged up in the city. The rest of Bern was okay.

Interlaken Inspires Funny Idea – St Patricks Flight (Interlaken)

13/3/05 Sunday

Decided to check into the other popular backpackers in Interlaken called the Funny Farm. The Lonely Planet says Australians are meant to flock there. I got a room with a bunch of Californians that were studying in Florence and on their spring break. They were cool.

Feral Zurich Uninspires (Zurich)

11/3/05 Friday

I decided to stay in Zurich for a Friday night to see what it was like. I was going to get a room in a Lonely Planet recommended hotel called Hotel Otter that had themed rooms. The "reception" was upstairs of a pub and the door was closed. I decided to try elsewhere. I also checked out the City Backpackers hostel, and that seemed rather run down, so I headed back to Mathaus where I was the first night. That had free wireless internet (once I figured out how it worked).
