Woke up to a picturesque window view of snow falling. Apparently there was a storm in France and it is going to snow here for at least two days. Made the trek to the train station and booked a ticket to St Anton via Bregenz. I will probably stop off in Bregenz to check the place out and perhaps see if I can scope out the situation with accommodation. I have a feeling that if I lob up in St Anton I could be sleeping with the snow bunnies... the real ones.

My luck started to turn alright, straight down. A dire day filled with walking into the large selections of banks to find that nobody wants to give me any money from my emergency Visa card. I also spent some time trying to find a wireless network allowing me internet access. I found lots of wireless networks, even lots with no security, but no internet access *sigh*. I ended up booking a room in the old house I had found on the internet and had orginally been meaning to stay at. I believe it was one of about 3 houses to have survived the war and Christian the owner, has been renovating it. My room was very nice, if perhaps a touch cold even with the big water heater cranked up all the way. Christian was very nice and let me use the internet on his booking computer when the guest one did not work. He seems like a top bloke and I would recommend a stay with him.

Woke up this morning and talked to an American and Canadian that had jumped all around Europe on EasyJet flights for 2 weeks spending about 2 days in each place. Apparently they like them all, but said Paris was a bit of a disappointment. We were talking about how expensive things were and the American said he felt like bending over every time he had to pay for something. The Nirvana song came on, "Rape Me". It was suggested that this was a fitting song for their trip, singing, "Europe raped me". I think I will also take it up as my travel song for the rest of the trip.
2/3/05 Wednesday -
The Underground was having some problems, so I jumped on a bus that seemed to be heading the right way and it took me to Lancaster Gate. I wandered around for a fair while, apparently avoiding anything that might have been interesting. I had walked so far, my left foot start getting very painful in a blister like way.
1/3/05 Tuesday –
Had some food with the guys and exchanged email addresses and stuff and then we wished each other well. They were really top people. See not all Americans are loud and annoying. One of the things I learnt was that Fosters quite popular in the US. I knew about Britain, but not the US as well!
