28/2/05 Monday –
Packed up the chalet and then some of the guys were heading down the beach before leaving. I tagged along and managed to see the ocean this time. I said my goodbyes and jumped on the bus for the trip back to London.
On the train I met up with Cultur, who Roland had introduced me to on the last night. He is an artist living in San Franciso, who also played music. We talked on the way to London and then wandering around being tourists together. As I had no credit card and was trying to save my cash, it was really cool when Cultur grasciously invited me to sleep on the hotel floor of some of his friends.
We met them at Tate Modern. A big factory that had been turned into an art repository and made me think of Ikea with its plastic roof. We looked around the shops a bit and met up with the other 3 guys, all from the US. The entry to the Tate Modern has this walkway where voices call out from all over the place as you walk through. I'm sure they security guards must get some kind of psychologist allowance to put up with that for extended periods of time. We then headed back to the hotel, dropped off our gear and set out for some food.
We had this awesome Japanese meal at some restaurant that had won a "Best of London" award or something. Best Chicken Teriaki I have had. Crispy and damn yummy. Tried some of the others food and that was really yummy too.
We checked out what used to be "The Tower", but is not a Virgin Megastore. I was half asleep and glad to get back to my tiny spot on the hotel floor. We chatted for a bit and then went to sleep.
