Things To See In Thailand

Thailand can be a strange place for a tourist who has not been there before. Here are some of the things to expect in a visit to Thailand.

  • Extremely bad dancing
  • Even worse dress sense.
  • Girls with features of guys... and girls that are actually guys... and sometimes better looking than the real ones.
  • People driving scooters on the wrong side of the road.

Ulm

Ulm, Germany, was interesting as it had the tallest climbable steeple in the world (161.53m high and 768 steps). I think it was 470+ feet of stairs. Just when you thought it couldn't go on, there were more steps to be found. I thought I was at the end at least a couple of times. By the time you do actually get to the top it is pretty freaky with about a 3 metre radius on the top platform.

Berlin

Berlin was a city that many people I meet in my travels have high praises for. I ended up staying there for a week. About three days of this was spent travelling to Potsdam, which is about 20 kilometres outside of Berlin.

Berlin is currently in an interesting state of trying to merge a city that was divided between communism and democracy.
There seems to be plenty of development going on and the cities areas are in a state of flux.

Potsdam

Potsdam is full of parks and palaces. I really enjoyed walking around Potsdam and spent about 3 days doing so. I didn't enjoy the subsequent blisters so much though. Investigating bike hire would is definitely something to be considered here.

Poland

For English speaking travellers, you will find that a lot of the time you won't be understood. You will have more luck with the younger generation of Poles, but expect some difficulties communicating.
