Airport Baggage Terminals - My Dream

It is one of my unrealistic dreams that one day people will learn that crowding around the baggage claim area does not make your baggage come any quicker. In fact, it makes the whole process a lot more annoying and probably slower.

If everybody stood back, more people could see there bags and walk up to claim them as they came around.

Racing to the baggage claim is also normally a pretty useless task as well. There are not many times my bags have beaten me to the baggage claim area.

Searching For Cheap Flights On The Web

Looking for a cheap flight on the Internet? There are a number of websites that provide lists of cheap airlines that fly from/to certain areas.

For Budget airline flights, Which Budget is one of the better sites for finding a flight that fits your holiday plans and your budget. You can select where you want to fly from or to and it will provide you a list of suitable flights. A very handy travel site indeed.

For finding cheap flights on mainly non-budget airlines Kayak is a good site to search.

Flight Ear Pain - Ease Airplane Pain caused by Cold/Flu etc

Ear pain and discomfort, or vertigo (dizziness), from air pressure changes during flights is a common problem. Ear pain will be increased and can be excurciating if suffering with Cold/Flu, blocked sinuses, ear infections or allergies.

The extra ear pain associated with cold/flu is due to congestion and blockage of the eustachian tubes. The eustachian tubes are located between the back of the throat and the inner side of your ear drum (middle ear) and help the ear cope with pressure changes.

Tips to relieve ear pain before flights

Do Not Fly With a Cold
This is the easiest way to avoid ear pain. If possible, delay the flight until after you have recovered from the cold/flu. This will help save other people from catching your virus in the air conditioned environment of a plane.

Thailand - Cambodia Visa Run - Pattaya/Bangkok - Siem Reap/Phnom Penh

Thailand is such a nice place, but they only give me a 1 month visa for free. Since I was planning on staying longer than that, I needed to go on an infamous visa run.

For those not up with the visa run terminology, it basically means exiting the country you are currently in (Thailand) with plans to return shortly there after with a new visa. In Thailand a tourist visa is not extendable past the one month provided. This means you really do have to leave the country or start paying fines when you finally do decide to leave. In Thailand I believe a fee is imposed for each day you go over your visa end date.

Low Fare Airlines Explained - Take Advantage Of Cheap Flights

Low fare airlines amaze me. Companies like Ryanair often offer fares for pretty much nothing where you pretty much only pay the airport taxes. Even their regular fare prices are amazingly cheap.

Travellers are very lucky to be able to take advantage of some of these fantastic offers being made by this new breed of airline.

Low fares do not necessarily mean a poor service. There are probably more risks, like your flight being cancelled or not receiving the kinds of benefits you might receive from a full fare airline like Thai Airways, eg if you miss your flight.

Low fare airlines do normally mean low frills. Part of their budget saving measure are normally to remove perks like free food and drinks. Frequent flyer type programs tend to be out as well.
